Apple's WWDC 2016 Dates and Schedule: MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and iOS 10 - Rumored Release Date

Many gadget lovers are waiting for this year's Apple Worldwide Developers' Conference (WWDC), where latest software updates and new Apple products will be announced. The Cupertino-based tech giant will reveal more details about MacBook Pro 2016 and MacBook Air 2016 at the said event. Now, here are the latest updates about WWDC 2016, including live stream info on how to watch it live online.

Interested viewers can watch the tech conference at Apple's website or through the WWDC official iOS app. The event will start at 10 a.m. PDT (18:00 BST) on Monday, June 13 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium, San Francisco.

Aside from new Macbook models, many are asking about the features of iOS 10. The Telegraph reported Apple will have a two-hour presentation for the announcement of the latest version of iOS.

Last year, Apple's VP for software engineering Craig Federigh presented the current iOS 9. It is expected he will also present the new operating system.  

Details about iOS 10 features are still kept under wraps, but several tech websites hint digital assistant Siri may be improved to handle user's voicemails more efficiently. Furthermore, the beta version of the software will be released to developers next month, and it will be installed on the highly anticipated iPhone 7 in September.

Meanwhile, let's check out the rumored specs of MacBook Pro 2016. It is reported the forthcoming laptop will house the latest Skylake chipset from Intel. With this processor, MacBook Pro's performance and battery life will significantly improve. In addition, the laptop will have slimmer chassis and a touch-sensitive keyboard.

For the MacBook Air, there are rumors that Apple might discontinue the product. Some tech experts say new Air models will not be needed anymore as the upcoming Pro models will be thinner and lighter, leaving buyers to decide between the standard MacBook and the MacBook Pro. However, there are speculations that the Cupertino-based company will only ditch the 11.6-inch MacBook Air to release a 15-inch variant.  

Take note the Apple has not yet denied or confirmed any of the MacBook-related rumors above, so let's take it with a proverbial pinch of salt.

Let's wait for further details on WWDC 2016 next month. In the past WWDC conferences, Apple released iPhone 4, Mac Pro and Power Mac. Last year, the tech giant used the keynote to reveal Apple Music with the help of pop icons like Drake and The Weekend.
