'Ark: Survival Of The Fittest' comes on PS4 this summer

The multiplayer version of action-adventure survival game Ark: Survival Evolved is coming on July 19. Game developer Studio Wildcard has announced that the Ark: Survival of the Fittest, which previously released on PC, becomes playable on PlayStation 4. Now, here's the latest round up of update about Ark: Survival of the Fittest release date, features and matches.

Officials of Studio Wildcard say they want to take the Ark: Survival of the Fittest in eSports arenas. The game was initially released as standalone game on PC, but because its gameplay style has proven so successful, the game developers decided to release it on gaming consoles.

Ark: Survival of the Fittest encourages players to build their own camp, weapons and army to survive. Players can make an army of dinosaurs and other creatures like dragons, giant apes and brood mother. These creatures have to be tamed, feed and trained to become more powerful.

The objective of the game is simple; players just have to destroy the base of other players to become a champion. Also, players can choose various game modes from 30-minute quick play, to three-hour "epic wars." Tech Times described the game is like Hunger Games that is situated in the Jurassic Park.

As the game goes on, the force field on the map's edges closes in around the island, forcing survivors to prepare for final battle. Compare to other eSports, Ark: Survival Of The Fittest has AI dinosaurs that continue to roam around the map to surprise careless players.

The forthcoming PS4 version of the game brings new creatures, weapons, locations, traps, weapons, armors and many more.

In an interview with Games Radar, Studio Wildcard co-founder and Ark creative director Jesse Rapczak said he hopes Survival of the Fittest will become one of the best eSports games in the world. He also added Studio Wildcard offers cash prizes for the top 10 players in each game mode's "Survivor League" to attract more gamers.

Ark: Survival of the Fittest is currently available in Steam Early Access. As we mentioned earlier, PS4 players will experience the Dino-filled multiplayer game on July 19. For its Xbox One version, the game developer has not yet announced a release date. Studio Wildcard developed the game together with Instinct Games, Efecto Studios and Virtual Basement.
