Asus Zenfone 3 will be released on 30 May ZENVOLUTION

Taiwanese phone maker Asus is now gearing up for the launching of the ZenFone 3. The company is set to unveil the handset on May 30 at the Computex 2016 event. The flagship device is said to arrive with exciting features with an affordable price. Now, here's what is currently known about Asus ZenFone 3 release date, specs, and price.

A day before the Computex event, which runs from May 31 to June 4, Asus will unveil its device lineup for this year. To make the event more exciting, the company made a special web page with a huge countdown timer. Check this link to see the website.

At the start of the conference, the website will provide live stream coverage and high-resolution photos.

Tech enthusiasts also expect Asus will announce updates on ZenPad slates and ZenBook laptops. Also, some are looking forward to a new ZenWatch. Given that many tech companies are racing to develop the most advanced VR technology, it may not be too far-fetched to see Asus unveil its ZenVR headset.

Tech Times reported ZenFone 3 would come in two variants: the standard model and the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. The website also published the details about the devices' technical specs.

Both models of ZenFone 3 have a fingerprint sensor, which is a big addition to its security features. Also, the devices have pre-installed Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out the box. The Marshmallow is Google's latest operating system.

Outside, all ZenFone 3 models sport a full metal body and glass and metal chassis. NDTV suggest the phone might also have a USB Type-C port, laser autofocus for the camera, and LED flash modules.

The standard ZenFone 3 has a 5.5-inch screen that supports 1,080 x 1,920p screen resolution. Its processing power is fueled by Qualcomm's Snapdragon 650 CPU and 3 GB of RAM.

For the top-spec ZenFone 3 Deluxe, it has a larger screen than the standard model. It sports 5.9-inch HD screen with a purported resolution of 1,280 x 720p.

Early rumors suggest Qualcomm chipset will be installed in the forthcoming ZenFone 3 series smartphones. However, the invitation to the Computex 2016 event carries an Intel logo. So, the Taiwanese phone maker might release ZenFone 3 in CPU variants powered by Intel and Qualcomm, just like in 2015's ZenFone 2 smartphones.

We'll give more updates once we know more. Stay tuned with Gospel Herald for more information.
