Ayesha Curry, author of "The Seasoned Life: Food, Family, Faith, and the Joy of Eating Well", TV chef, and wife of NBA star Stephen Curry recently visited Liberty University for its Friday Convocation. Ayesha, who now stars in her own TV show "Ayesha's Homemade" which is shown on the Food Network, talked about cooking has always been her passion, and that she started cooking at a young age.

Curry stressed to the students at Liberty University how blessed they are to be able to be given the freedom to worship. She asked the students not to take it for granted and to just cherish it.

"You guys should be so grateful to have such an amazing community here and this incredible environment to just worship and enjoy the Lord," Curry claimed. "It is such an amazing feeling, the worship ... just to have that in your back pocket every couple of days, to be able to just serve Him and worship Him, that is special. Don't take it for granted, it is a beautiful thing."

Ayesha Curry was also asked about how she met her husband, Golden State Warriors star and the reigning Most Valuable Player in the NBA. She related the story of how she and Stephen actually met at a church youth group when they were 14 and 15. They started dating a few years later and have been together ever since. They are now raising their two daughters, Riley and Ryan.

Talking about being in the limelight due to their celebrity status, Ayesha said that it is a whirlwind and that they are still learning. She believes that it's God that has put them in a position where people are able to witness their lives. She says that what keeps them going is their faith in God, that He is the very foundation of their lives, and that they would crumble if they didn't have God in their lives.

She claims that the fame they are experiencing now is both expected and unexpected. Expected because she says that even if her husband is not the big basketball star that he is now, Ayesha Curry still believes that he would be put into a position where he could be a witness for others. What's unexpected is the celebrity status that comes with it, and she credits their foundation in their Christian beliefs as what keeps them strong and steady.

Ayesha Curry also shared a gift with the students at Liberty University, where Seth Curry, Stephen's younger brother actually graduated. She prepared some dishes, including roasted potatoes and pumpkin squares, for everyone to enjoy after the Convocation.
