Fervent Records’ BarlowGirl have set a record as this years longest number one single on both Christian Radio and Retail's (CRW) Rock chart and Radio and Records CHR chart with their song "Never Alone". Released in June, the single has held the CRW chart's #1 position for 15 straight weeks and the R&R top slot for 9. The song is also number one on CRW's CHR chart, and has held that position for 7 weeks.
“Audiences are really connecting with this song,” says Susan Riley, Owner/ President of Fervent Records. “BarlowGirl is not afraid to be real with their fans about the struggles they face in life. Their honesty is bringing the response that every artist longs for; a response we expect will grow with the release of their third single, ‘Mirror’.”
BarlowGirl has returned to the States from a recent promotional tour in Germany, as well as their main-stage participation at the Netherland's Flevo Festival, and are currently performing on the "In the Name of Love Tour" along with Todd Agnew, Building 429, and Starfield. The group plans to return to the Netherlands in December to perform at Winter Wonder Rock, along with artists Pillar, Supertones, Paul Colman and Sanctus Real.
BarlowGirl's self-titled debut has already sold over 81 million units in a little over six months, making them the best selling new artist of the year, and among the top 20 albums in sales for all of 2004, according to Soundscan. The album is currently #10 on the Christian Soundscan chart.
