Warner Bros. announced the Batman: Return to Arkham wouldn't come out on its planned release day of July 29. The game publisher said the game needs more improvement before it becomes available. According to GameStop listing, the remastered Batman games will become available in December 31, 2016.

Here's what is currently known about Batman: Return to Arkham 2016 release date, features and rumors.

WB Games' Steve Grayson announced on game's forums that the launching of Batman: Return to Arkham is postponed. WB Games decided to delay the game's release to give developers additional time polishing it. Grayson also acknowledged that the news is disappointing for gamers, but the team's extra time will allow them to create the "best gaming experience" for Batman fans.

Warner Bros. initially announced the bundle of remastered Batman games will become available on July 26 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4.  As of now, there is no confirmation yet if there will be a PC version of the game.

PlayStation Lifestyle reported the Batman: Return to Arkham boxset will introduce improved animation, graphics and upgraded models.

Two of the games that are included in the collection earned praises from critics and gamers. The Batman: Arkham Asylum became popular for its impressive sountrack, spectacular visual, voice acting and action-filled combat. Also, Greg Miller of IGN said Arkham Asylum was "the best comic book game of all time."

For the 2011 game Arkham City, critics praised its explosive opening and unbelievable ending. Players also enjoyed its atmospheric thrill and the feeling of being the Dark Knight.

The upcoming Batman: Return to Arkham game is expected feature all of the Arkham series' DLC contents and Game of the Year edition bonuses.  After the news about game's delayed launching came out, several tech websites claim it would be launched together with Batman Arkham VR in October.

Batman Arkham VR was unveiled at E3 2016.  It is one of the most anticipated games in VR consoles because of its exciting gameplay. On its E3 demo, fans had a glimpse on the game's new weapons, locations and features. Players had chance to feel what it's like to use Batman's high-tech forensic tools. They also investigated a crime scene in VR environment while wearing the Batsuit.

Batman Arkham VR will be exclusively available in the upcoming PlayStation VR console.
