Know what are the best games for HTC Vive Tech Radar

Many tech companies are racing to develop the most advanced virtual reality gadget. Oculus Rift, PlayStation VR and HTC Vive are all set to hit the market this year. Now, we'll give the latest update on what are the best games and experiences available for the HTC Vive in 2016.

On April 5, the first batch of HTC Vive headset has been delivered to customers around the globe.  Compare to Oculus Rift and PlayStation VR, HTC Vive offers a full-room virtual reality experience. Users can physically walk around on different environments rather than just look around them, making HTC Vive perfect for gamers.

Here's a list of best Vive games to download.

1. Vanishing Realms ($19.99 on Steam)

Vanishing Realms is one of the exciting titles available for HTC Vive. This game looks like The Legend of Zelda, but instead of controlling Link as a character on screen, you play his role in a visually stunning 3D environment.  Moreover, you have to use your body to walk, get weapons and fight sword-wielding skeletons.

The battles in the Vanishing Realms are very thrilling in VR world.  You have to physically swing the controller, which acts like a sword, to kill enemies. Along the way, you can also acquire a magic wand, shield, and a bow and arrow.

2. Elite: Dangerous ($30 for standard edition and $60 for Deluxe Edition)

Elite Dangerous is a graphically gorgeous game that offers action-packed adventure. Combined with immersive virtual-reality technology,  you will really love this game. Spend your time flying in a spaceship while dogfighting with enemy players.  You will also be welcomed with various monitors inside the spaceship that shows various pieces of information.

Elite Dangerous has a gorgeous environment and lets you gaze out of the window to hunt down enemies, or marvel at the beauty of galaxy formations.

3. theBlu ($9.99 on Steam)

If you attended one of Vive's public demo, there's a good chance you witnessed the preview of theBlu. The game presents three varying experiences: Whale Encounter, Reef Migration, and Luminous Abyss. All of those experiences are equally beautiful, and each displays the richness of ocean life.  Plus, the game gives a scenic underwater adventure.

4. Space Pirate Trainer ($9.99 on Steam)

Just like Elite Dangerous, Space Pirate Trainer is a shoot-em-up arcade game in the space environment.  Get ready for an action-filled battle with space-twist. You are armed with two pistols with a variety of shooting modes like single fire and burst.  You can also use a shield in difficult situations to block incoming bullets.

5. The Gallery Episode 1: Call of the Starseed( $29.99 on Steam)

The Gallery is set to bring classic adventure game genre into a higher level.  With room-scale VR, you can move around in a larger world by teleporting. The Gallery is an episodic adventure game that is specially designed for virtual reality. Also, the game is inspired by 80's fantasy-adventure films.
