On a press release from the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association (BGEA), Billy Graham have declined from holding a crusade in London this fall, citing his health and that of his wife’s. Rev. Graham said that he had made the decision weeks before the bombing incident happened in London.

"After much prayerful consideration, I determined I should not be that far from home," Graham said in a message sent to those who invited him. "This was a difficult decision because London has played such a significant part in the life of my ministry."

Currently, Rev. Graham stays at his home in Montreat, suffering from fluid in the brain, prostate cancer, and Parkinson’s disease. He also suffers from a pelvic fracture that forces him to use a walker. His wife, Ruth Bell Graham, is also experiencing health problems including pneumonia.

Rev. Graham held the Greater Billy Graham Crusade last month in New York that drew hundreds of thousands, calling it his last. During the event, he rested in an air-conditioned tent with aids along side of him. A movable seat was hidden behind the pulpit to allow him to sit while delivering the sermon.

Graham said that he had been following closely to recent events including the tragedy in London and the selection of the host for the 2012 Olympic Games. Declining the invitation, Graham said that he will pray for England and for the victims of the recent attack.
