As Montreal's coach Michel Therrien had believed, home ice in Game would give the Canadiens the edge to overtake the Bruins in the series, which they did. Montreal now leads the series with 2-1 in the best-of-7 series.

In Game 3, the Canadiens took an early lead with 3-0 lead and they hang on for a 4-2 win. If Canadiens can maintain the home-ice advantage they took in Game 1 by winning again Thursday, they will have 3-1 lead in the series.

In Game 2, the Bruins beat the Canadiens 5-3 of this Eastern Conference Second Round series on Saturday. The Montreal won Game 1 on Thursday with 4-3 in double overtime.

Montreal beat the Bruins 4-3 in double-overtime win in Game 1 on Thursday. Montreal's win was dramatic. The Bruins outshot the Canadiens 51-33 and Boston had 98 shot attempts to Montreal's 58. Canadien's goaltender Carey Price saved 48 shots against goals.

Montreal faced the Bruins in 2011 Eastern Conference Quarterfinals, and won the first two games, but lost at Game 7. This game today will be their chance to capture the Stanley Cup by beating the Bruins.

The Bruins lost three of four games against the Canadiens in the regular season, but they have just defeated the Red Wings that also beat them three times in four tries.

"I think it's just about who's going to do their homework a little bit better," said center David Krejci, according to NHL.com. "And then we've just go to trust the system and go out there and do the job. I think we have a pretty good team here, and if we'll do our homework right, then we should be able to get some results."

Canadiens forwards Brendan Gallagher and Rene Bourgue had three goals each in the series against the Lightnings.

Bruins' Bergeron had five points and Lucic had three goals against the Red Wings. Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask Stopped 146 of 152 shots (.961 save percentage).
