When I'm tempted to do things my own way,
when I give in to my stubborn will,
when my wants and desires are just selfish dreams,
slow me down lord, make me be still.
When it seems I'm just doing my own thing,
with the trials and temptations-each day,
when I walk in the paths of "unrighteousness,
turn me round-Lord-and show me the way-
Then bring back to me-the memories,
of those old tattered sandals-you wore,
and lord let me see-all the love-you had for me-
Show me that "rugged cross"-that you bore!
