'Call of Duty: Black Ops 3' DLC Release Date and News: Details About New Maps, Weapons and Fixes Leaked; Plus Double Weekend XP Info

Treyarch and Activision, the companies behind the game "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3", give players an early Christmas treat. Both companies allegedly announced that the first DLC of the shooting game will be coming out soon.

According an unconfirmed date from VideoGamesBlogger.com, the first DLC Map Pack will be released on Jan. 26, 2016 for the PS4, while the second pack will be coming out in March. For Xbox and PC, they will get the DLC 30 days after the PlayStation.

 Furthermore, the DLC pack will be titled as "The Awakening," which will include new multiplayer maps. One of the new locations is Splash that could be another fan favorite as the map is rumored to put players in the middle of a water park. A zombie map is also included. Der Eisendrachen map is set to become a big hit for zombie apocalypse fans.

Here is the list of new multiplayer maps:

  •  Rise
  •  Skyjacked

As of now, there is still no official word from the creators of "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3," so let's take this report with a grain of salt.

According to an advertisement from PlayStation's official website, the four epic maps will be available in 2016.

"The Call of Duty®: Black Ops III Season Pass delivers 4 epic DLC map packs in 2016 with all-new multiplayer content," the ad wrote.

Meanwhile, we'll give you the latest update about Double XP Weekend event. The said event will start on Dec. 11 to Dec. 14. It will be for both multiplayer and Zombies mode. Treyarch studios confirmed the event via Twitter.

            Increased ability to control recoil.

Scorestreaks

  •  Dart

            Explosive damage increased for collision explosions

            Handling tuning

            Minimum speed slightly reduced

            Fixed an issue where the Dart was not locking onto enemy players

  •  Mothership

            Increased number of missiles required to destroy by 2

            Owner turret explosive bullet damage increased

           Owner rocket turret projectile speed increased

The Call of Duty: Black Ops was released on November 6.

In a game review from IGN, it says Black Ops 3 multiplayer mode has the depth that fans should expect. Moreover, the addition of unique Specialists makes every player more important. The four-player co-op and Zombies modes contribute to amazing playing experience.
