Candace Cameron Bure revealed she is "disappointed" with GOP presidential candidates Donald Trump's pick for his running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence. Bure shared on Friday's episode of "The View" she would have preferred Trump to have selected former surgeon Ben Carson.

"I think he [Mike Pence] is a smart choice in terms of trying to bridge the GOP, bridge the Republican party back together because he does hold conservative values," Bure said, adding, "he's been in office for a long time. He has a record of consistent, conservative choices that he's made."

"But for me, I was a little disappointed only in the sense that I would've liked to see someone a little more diverse. Maybe see the president and vice president a little more culturally balanced."

ABC's The View TV talk show is hosted by Bure, Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné.

The "Fuller House" star said she would have been comfortable with both a president and vice president without political experience [Trump and Carson]. "Yeah, I would've," she said in  the Black Christian News. "But I think that there may be a platform for him [Ben Carson] as Secretary of Education. I liked Ben Carson."

Bure's "View" co-host Raven Symoné has different concerns with Pence. "Nobody really read up on Mike Pence beforehand," she said. "There are new people that are coming into our world." She added that she does not agree with Pence's political views on abortion and said the vice presidential-hopeful "discriminates against people" but did not elaborate, reports Fox News.

Guest co-host Jedediah Bila shared her views, saying Pence was a smart pick because he will "bridge the GOP...back together."

"It was like a political first date," Sara Haines said on July 18 of Donald J. Trump's first joint interview with VP pick Governor Mike Pence. "[Pence] is doing a good job and Donald Trump makes the mistake of interrupting him!"
