Catholic Cultural Centers Strengthen the Culture of Catholic Church in Society

More than 350 Catholic Institutions in Italy

Italy - At the Press Conference in Vatican, bishop Guiseppe Betori, general secretory of Bishop's conference in Italy emphasized the number of catholic cultural centers in Italy.

Featuring presentation of natonial list of catolic cultural centers showed that there are in sum 350 institutions except catholic univeristies and academies. More than 3/4 are situated in Northern part of Italy mostly in Lombardia.

Catholic cultural centers lead the volunteers. This centers are part of long-term program named "National project", which lead chairman of Bishop's conference in Italy, cardinal Camilo Ruini from 1994.

With this net of cultural institutions, the Catholic Church wants in Italy to built the dialog with the world of culture. This project propose to strengthen the culture of Catholic church in the society.
