As the redesigned 2016 Chevrolet Camaro is expected to arrive at dealerships soon, General Motors is rolling out a range of performance parts, accessories, and technology updates for the overhauled muscle car. These will give buyers convenient options for upgrading the performance of the new Camaro model. Aside from technical features, the signature retro-futuristic that the Camaro sports in the last five years are also the design that GM has chosen for the 2016 Chevy Camaro.

One of the upgrades included for the upcoming Camaro is a performance exhaust system for 3.6-liter V6 and 6.2-liter V8 models. The company claims that the axle-back systems emits a nicer sound but do not void the factory warranty. However, they are not compatible with the already available dual-mode exhaust system. A performance air intake kit is included on the other end of the combustion process. It will be offered for V8 models early next year.

As mentioned, the 2016 Camaro's design will be based on the previous model, but GM will treat it with a new look as it will also offer suspension lowering kits. They will lower the vehicle by up to eight inches. The model will also be two inches shorter thanks to a new wheelbase. Because of the new body, the all-new aluminum material used, and the V6-engine, the weight of the redesigned Camaro amounts to 3,435 pounds--a drop of almost 300 pounds from the previous model.

Fuel economy numbers have yet to be released by the manufacturer, but car observers can expect the turbo-4 to wind up at between 32 and 37 mpg on the highway. The V6 is predicted to be 3 or 4 mpg behind that while the V8 might be 5 or 6 mpg behind the V6.

While previous Camaros were relatively poor in technology features, the 2016 model is expected to be different. It will get the newest version of the MyLink infotainment system. Meanwhile, the Camaro 1SS with the LT1 V8 engine will be sold with a starting price of $37,295. Those amounts include the $995 destination fee.
