The only official Bible printing company in Mainland China has set its plans for year 2006 with the focus to raise the standard of Bible printing.
Released on the official website in Chinese language, the greetings letter for the New Year from Nanjing Amity Printing Company Limited highlighted its direction in 2006 by a few sentences. 2006 is being set as the year to "refine the management" of the company. Through improving the overall management, Amity Printing looks to expand the overseas market, boasting the export of Bible to a new level. In addition, as the construction of the new factory site is now underway, it prepares to see the improvement in both production volume and product quality.
According to the letter, 2006 will be the last year that the present printing site on Jinbo Road maintains a steady production. The Amity Printing will therefore take the final opportunity to refine its management system, to set quotas and standards for all work processes, in order to lay down a strong foundation for the "second creation of enterprise" at the new factory site located in Jiangling Industrial zone. The Amity Printing aims to finish the first stage of construction of the new factory site this year.
With the vision to develop the overseas market, the Amity Printing will strive to operate the ISO 9000 and ISO14000 production environment system more efficiently so as to reach the international quality.
Meanwhile, Amity Printing celebrates the achievement in 2005. The production volume of the Bible, sales revenue, overseas market and income has all experienced significant growth last year. The sales volume has even breakthrough 80,000,000 RMB while export volume exceeds 5,000,000 USD.
On Nov. 8, 2005, a groundbreaking ceremony was held at the new factory site for Amity Printing Company. It is expected that the production facility- a Joint Venture between The Amity Foundation and The United Bible Societies- will have an output capability of around 1 million books per month.
The Amity Printing Company is the only Bible printing group authorized by the Chinese government. It works closely with the government-sanctioned Three Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) of the Protestant Churches in China and the China Christian Council (CCC).
