SAN FRANCISCO- Following the China Bible Ministry Exhibition in Los Angeles sponsored by the Chinese official church, the Chinese official Church delegation will visit San Francisco for further Christian exchange.

The Chinese delegation of around 30 people, including president and vice-president of China Christian Council (CCC) Rev. Cao Shengjie and Rev. Lin Zhi Hua, executive assistant secretary of National Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement (TSPM) Rev. Mei Kangjun and others, will arrive in May 6. Received by the San Francisco Theological Seminary associated with the Presbyterian Church of U.S.A. and the Christian Leadership Exchange (CLE), the delegation will stay in San Francisco from May 6 thru May 11.

On May 7, the leaders will be presented at a half-day conference at the San Francisco Theological Seminary. At Cornerstone Evangelical Baptist Church, there will be a gospel music concert by musicians from the TSPM churches. Featuring traditional classical Chinese music, the main instrument used will be Gu-zheng, Yang-qin and Er-hu. Ms. Feng Juan Juan and Ms. Pang Bo Er perform with Gu-zheng Solo and Yang-qin Solo on three gospel songs each. An Er-hu Solo on four gospel songs will be presented by Ms. Ma Xiao Hui.

Special guests from Lisu minority in Yunnan province will sing some songs in their native language as well. Their performance at the Bible Exhibition was very popular; especially their unique minority costume looks very attractive to visitors.

The same music concert will be held at the Valley Bible Church, Pleasanton, on May 10.

The San Francisco Chinese Christian Union (CCU) has prepared an evening banquet for the Chinese delegation on May 8. In the following two days, the delegation will meet with some Chinese business and educational organizations in San Francisco before they leave on May 11.

The Planning Committee for the trip of Chinese delegates in San Francisco Bay Area include Rev. Victor Chan of East Bay Alliance Church, Rev. James Shum of Chinese Presbyterian Church of Oakland, Rev. Calvin Wong of Chinese Grace Church, and Rev. Philip Wickeri of San Francisco Theological Seminary.

The Bible Exhibition in Los Angeles that has closed on May 4 aims to reflect the Bible ministry of Chinese churches in different stages, Chinese Christians' devotion to the Bible and their faith in God's words. It also witnesses the spreading of the Gospel and the establishing of the churches in China. With the same theme "A Lamp to My Feet, A Light to My Path - Bible Ministry Exhibition of the Church in China," the Exhibition will go to Atlanta and New York on May 19-24 and June 5-12.
