With Clash of Clans' popularity still going strong, there are literally thousands of strategies being developed every day. Some are straightforward, while others are downright meticulous.

In the sections below, we will look at two strategies that take the cake in regards to meticulousness. Though seemingly complicated, these techniques are actually quite easy to follow:

Distractions Using Combined Arms

Combined arms may not be one of the newest gameplay styles in Clash of Clans. However, one technique developed by Clasher stands out. This involves using a combined force of Golems, Hog Riders, and a Barbarian King.

Dubbed "Go Hogs", the players sends the Barbarian King and Golems inside the enemy stronghold as a distraction against defensive buildings. This will also lure enemy Heroes away from the real attack. Meanwhile, an attacking force comprised of Hog Riders will be sent against the town wall. The meat of your attack force will comprise 10-30 Hog Riders, 1-3 Golems, and 1 Barbarian King.

Be sure to have a substantial assets backing up your attack force. You will most likely need 2-8 Wall Breakers, 6-14 Barbarians and Archers, 1-5 Giants, and 4-12 Wizards. The Wizards will create funnels, while Wall Breakers will deal with the enemy walls. Don't forget your clan allies. Recruit 5 Hog Riders, 2 Witches, and a handful of Wall Breakers from the Clan castle. If you have one, bring along one P.E.K.K.A.

This strategy is best against Town Hall 8 bases. Even so, players may want to perfect this attack plan against lower-level defenses first. Go after bases that have the key defenses not in the core. Keep in mind that this approach is complicated and requires a degree of precision. Be warned, the "Go Hogs" strategy does not work well with centralized defenses and spread bases.

Make Your Base Less Attractive to the Enemy

Another player advocates disguising the home base as a defensive measure. This strategy does not employ Walls Level 9 to scare away the enemy.

Rather, the player uses deception to make a strong base appear weak. The gameplay relies on players' psychology. For instance, a strong and clean base gives the impression that it is well-stocked. Enemy players will then invest the time to reconnoiter the base before the attack. It may be easy to fend off an attack or two. But, multiple well-coordinated attacks will eventually defeat the strongest of defenses. What is needed is to discourage enemies from investing that time.

Try to make the home base appear ransacked and invaluable. Allow obstacles to grow in between outside buildings and the actual base. Do not clear up tombstones after the most recent attack. When other players see the base, it seems there is nothing valuable inside.  Happily, opponents will focus their efforts elsewhere.
