Vice President of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (a.k.a Winners Chapel), Bishop David Abioye, has predicted a bright future for Nigeria, despite the present economic hardship been experienced by the people.

Speaking with THISDAY at the end of a three-day pastoral visit to the church in Minna, the Bishop said, "I am very optimistic that Nigeria will rank among the greatest nation in a few years to come."

He explained that his prediction may be a paradox now, adding that, "With the prevailing indices many may not see what I am seeing, but I make bold to say that Nigeria will be ranking one of the greatest in the world soon."

Abioye, who was accompanied by the resident pastor of the church, Pastor John Adelekan, noted that the present hard time been witnessed in the country now was a fulfilment of the scriptures, which says that the earth shall be covered with darkness, adding that however a light will soon emerged.

"Very soon, there shall be a turn around for the country. We are very hopeful. The church is very hopeful for a brighter tomorrow for Nigeria," Abioye declared.

Citing South Korea, the Bishop said that the Asian country some 50 years ago had nothing close to development, but ranked 13th developed nation some years past. "This is an indication that Nigeria will soon be great," he declared.

He enjoined Nigerians to ensure that all hands must be on deck for the quick recovery of the ailing economy. "All hands, both by the leaders and the led must be ready to positively impact our country. We have to resolve to affect our society positively," he advised.
