The Cleveland Browns will be playing against the Detroit Lions during Week 1 of 2014 NFL Preseason on Saturday, August 9, 2014. The Browns will be visiting the Lions at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan. Watch the Browns vs. Lions live stream online below (free for subscribers).

For many, the highlight for tonight's game would be the debut of Johnny Manziel, the 22nd overall pick in May's draft. The 2012 Heisman Trophy of Texas A&M has been under media spotlight for some time, where he was investigated by the NCAA for his autograph habits and was also the most divisive player in this year's draft.

The Browns ended their 2013 Season with an overall record of 4-12 (vs AFC North: 2-4, vs AFC: 3-9). They ranked 11th overall in passing yards (252.9) and 27th overall in rushing yards (86.4). Defensively, they ranked 8th overall in passing yards allowed (221.1) and 18th overall in rushing yards allowed (111.3).

Their team leaders were quarterback Jason Campbell, who had 2,015 passing yards, running back Willie McGahee, who had 377 rushing yards, and wide receiver Josh Gordon, who had 1,646 receiving yards.

The Lions had an overall record of 7-9 (vs NFC North: 4-2, vs NFC: 6-6). They made it to the playoffs and were ranked 3rd overall in passing yards (280.1), 17th overall in rushing yards (112.0), 23rd overall in passing defense (246.9), and 6th overall in rushing defense (99.8).

Detroit's team leaders were quarterback Matthew Stafford, who had 4650 passing yards, running back Reggie Bush, who had 1,006 rushing yards, and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, who had 1,492 receiving yards.

The Lions' new coach Jim Caldwell and new offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi will get Stafford to be more disciplines and eliminate his tendency for turnovers. Caldwell said he had Peyton Manning and Joe Flacco heading into their fifth seasons and because Stafford missed a year of playing time feels like he has Stafford at the same juncture of his career, according to CBSSports.com.

While the Lions already has a potent offense, the team is adding WR Golden Tate and drafting TE Eric Ebron in the first round. With new coach at the helm and new additions to the already potent offensive lineup, how far can the Lions go? Begin following now to find out.

The game is scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. ET and will be televised on NFL Network. Fans can watch the game online through live stream by clicking here.
