Command & Conquer Generals 2 (now known as "Command & Conquer," and also called by the moniker "C&C" or "CnC"), the infamous strategy video game that was scrapped in 2013, is said to be in the process of revival according to its first producer, Electronic Arts (EA).

Command & Conquer Generals 2 used to part of the Command & Conquer video game series; but, is now the series' prime game and has thus been called "Command & Conquer" since 2013.

In November 2013, EA announced that a beta version for Command & Conquer is currently in the works however, development will be under a new game company. No further details were released by EA.

Command & Conquer's cancellation back in 2013 was a big shock to fans all over the world with the game retaining its popularity since it was first released in 1995. The game was first developed by Westwood Studios, then EA Los Angeles, then Victory Games before the whole series was cancelled.

The Command & Conquer series has received an overall score of 94% on Metacritic, reflecting the game's phenomenal success with over 30 million games sold between 1995 to 2009.

The high overall Metacritic score of the Command & Conquer series is not surprising given the many recognitions it has received, including two Guinness World Records titles under its belt: as the "Biggest-Selling RTS (Real-Time Strategy) Series" and with the "Most Number of Platforms for an RTS."

It is said that organizational management has caused Command & Conquer's demise. Victory Games, the series' first developer for Microsoft Windows, says that the game's cancellation is a result of "corporate shenanigans."

Even today, fans all over the world relieve Command & Conquer in its glory days as can be found in forums and fan sites. CNCZ remains one of the biggest fan sites since it was founded in 1997, and hopes are still high for the game's revival.
