Concordia Students Visit Germany through its Annual Christ Academy-College Program

A group of male college students of Cocordia University and as well as from several other universities and colleges across the nation are going on a trip today to Germany with Christ Academy-College 2004, which is an annual program of Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

"Christ Academy continues to be a tremendous blessing to the seminary and the church," commented the Rev. Scott C. Klemsz, Director of Admission and chaperone for this year's trip.

"Christ Academy-College allows college students from across the country to join together in fellowship as they journey the Lutheran road. By "urban backpacking" Germany, participants get a real sense of Germany and European culture,” said Klemsz.

Concordia reported that Christ Academy-College is an outgrowth of the two-week residential Christ Academy for high-school-aged young menthat takes place annually during the last two weeks of June on the CTS campus.

The tour begins in Berlin and the students will visit several historical landmarks such as St. Mary's Lutheran Church, the Brandenburg Gate, and the Berlin Cathedral. The group will also visit Wittenberg to look at famous Luther sites.
