Coral Ridge Ministries Promotes Passion Discussion with New Book

By Katherine T. Phan

Dr. James Kennedy of Coral Ridge Ministries has co-authored a 200-page book to expand the discussion on Mel Gibson’s “The Passion of the Christ.” The book, entitled “Christ's Passion: The Power and The Promise” follows a Christian cultural movement in using the film as a preface for evangelism.

“Mel Gibson's movie is providing a tremendous opportunity for discussion with people who will not understand the purpose of Christ's death and resurrection,” says the excerpt introducing the book.

Two copies of the book are now available on the Coral Ridge Ministries Web site. The ministry encourages the person ordering the books to keep one for himself and give one to a friend.

The Coral Ridge Ministries Web site is also linked to a Christian outreach Web site promoting the film, even describes “The Passion of the Christ” as “perhaps the best outreach opportunity in 2000 years.”
