The Dallas Cowboys will be playing against the San Diego Chargers during Week 1 of the 2014 NFL Preseason on August 7, 2014. The Cowboys will be visiting the Chargers at Qualcommn Stadium in San Diego, California. Watch the Cowboys vs. Chargers live stream online below (free for subscribers).

The Cowboys ended their 2013 Season with an overall record of 8-8 with 5-1 in NFC East and 7-5 in NFC. With quarterback Tony Romo at the helm, the Cowboys ranked 14th overall in passing yards (247.1 yards) and 24th overall in rushing yards (94 yards).

Dallas' leaders were Romo, who had 3,828 passing yards, running back Demarco Murray, who had 1,121 rushing yards, and wide receiver Dez Bryant, who had 1,233 receiving yards.

Cowboys coach Jason Garrett confirmed that Romo will not play in today's preseason opener, but will play on Aug. 16 against the Baltimore Ravens at AT&T Stadium. Romo had just come off back surgery in December. He did not take any competitive snaps in the spring and has taken part in six of the Cowboy's nine padded practices, according to ESPN.

After Monday's practice, quarterback coach Wade Wilson said that "hopefully with four days of complete rehab he can come back on Saturday and start to look like his old self completely."

Brandon Weeden will start in place of Romo in tonight's game.

The Chargers completed last season with an overall record of 9-7 with 4-2 in AFC West and 6-6 in AFC. They also finished 4th overall in passing yards (270.5 yards) and 13th overall in rushing yards (122.8 yards).

San Diego's team leaders were quarterback Philip Rivers, who had 4,478 passing yards, running back Ryan Matthew, who had 1,255 rushing yards, and wide receiver Keenan Allen, who had 1,046 receiving yards.

The Chargers have not suffered any significant injuries through the first two weeks of camp. Edge rusher Dwight Freeney has looked explosive and healthy returning from a torn quad that ended his last season early. His return should help the Chargers bring down the quarterback.

On the defensive end, San Diego appears much faster than last season as Manti Te'o and Melvin Ingram has return. They will help improve the overall speed and athleticism at the second level of defense. In addition, outside linebacker Jeremiah Attaochu, a second-round pick, and Jason Verrett, a first round selection, signing of veteran cornerback Brandon Flowers and the return of last year's fifth-round pick Steve Williams all added to San Diego's chances of charging past the playoffs.

The Cowboys vs. Chargers game will begin at 10 p.m. ET, and will be aired on NFL Network. Fans can watch the game online through live stream by clicking here.
