Coming next year, unless "The Defenders" are coming Promotional Material Netflix/Marvel

Daredevil Season 3 is something that many fans of Marvel’s favorite Hell’s Kitchen superhero are looking forward to on Netflix, but the elephant in the room remains. Just when will Daredevil Season 3 air? So far, the release date has not been announced just yet by Netflix, which adds to all the more to the mystery. However, one thing is for sure -- Daredevil Season 3 will not air until the first season of The Defenders if over, and if Iron Fist is not even aired just yet, how can The Defenders be shown on Netflix? Chances are pretty high that we will only be able to check out the Daredevil Season 3 release date some time in 2018 at the earliest.

We do know that in Daredevil Season 2, the core relationships between the likes of Matt Murdock, Foggy and Karen were all in a mess. Not only that, Frank Castle was introduced, and the man ended up as The Punisher at the end of that memorable season. Another character that will certainly be scrutinized further would be Matt’s longtime love interest, Elektra, keeping us wondering just where her final loyalty lies. Do expect to see how the relationship between Matt and Karen will develop further in Daredevil Season 3, as we hang on to the edge of our seats in figuring out just how will Wilson Fisk fulfill his promise of transforming Matt’s life into a living hell as seen in Season 2.

Who can we expect to return as part of the cast in Daredevil Season 3? Well, all of the main players would certainly be there -- Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock/Daredevil), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple). While many also expect to see Vincent D’Onofrio reprise his role as Wilson Fisk aka The Kingpin, nothing has been confirmed officially on that side just yet.

What will Season 3’s plot entail? Well, a lot of it will probably hand on how the first season of The Defenders pan out, as that would set the tone for the entire Marvel universe in Netflix from henceforth. With the previous season of Daredevil seeing how the Murdock & Nelson partnership was dissolved, with Murdock letting Karen Page know of his superhero identity, surely these are plot points that need to be developed further or resolved in the upcoming third season.

Will Bullseye also make another appearance? After all, he is one of Daredevil’s eternal enemy, and many fans would be more than happy to see Bullseye appear on the small screen. Charlie Cox himself did make mention in the past on how he would love to see Bullseye make an appearance, saying, “It’s no secret. I’ve said it before and I get in trouble every time I say it, I’d like to see Bullseye make an appearance at some point. I think it’s a really interesting opportunity.”

Perhaps one of the ways to shoehorn Bullseye into Daredevil Season 3 would be to have Wilson Fisk engage the services of the hitman who never misses, in order to really make Matt's life a living hell as promised. What do you think?
