As one of the most sought after bands on college campuses and beyond, David Crowder Band launches its first-ever headline tour. Featuring Paul Wright of GoTee and Telecast of BEC, the "Illuminate Tour" begins on February 16 in Oklahoma City.
Engaging and reviving the fans of 11-states and 18-cities nationally, the infectious melodic performances include many of the fans' all-time favorites and also new music from the featured critically acclaimed No. 1 selling sophomore album, Illuminate. The itinerary for this "The Illuminate Tour" as well as individual David Crowder Band appearances are listed below.
Illuminate, the newest project produced by the band along with talented producers Charlie Peacock (dcTalk, Switchfoot), Mitch Watkins (Joe Ely, Abra Moore) and Zach Lind (Jimmy Eat World), is receiving widespread critical acclaim.
An Orange Co. Register reviewer said, "Illuminate is quite possibly the best album I've heard this year.” “Crowder’s voice is effortlessly subtle,” says U-WIRE. Also, sr. writer Bill Dean of Lakeland Ledger (Lakeland, FL) says he sees the "future of music" after completing a cover feature interview with the band.
The album receives a Grade "A" review from The Fort Worth Star-Telegram, The News Times (Danbury, CT) says the band is “Poised to be the voice of a generation that’s searching for something more” and The Gainesville Sun says, “The David Crowder Band is not your grandfather’s church music - or your big brother’s for that matter…the band’s two CDs have turned heads among mainstream rock fans.”
Also included in the album in addition to the music is a free demo version of Propellerhead’s Reason 2.5 software (distributed by M-Audio in the U.S.). The two mastered studio tracks “Revolutionary Love” and “O Praise Him (All This for a King),” the first and hit radio single from Illuminate, are to be used with the software. People will be able to see how the songs were recorded and mixed through the program, as well as create their own remix of the songs.
Crowder, known as one of the most talented and unique singer/songwriters of today, will be playing his "Crowder Acoustic" guitar especially made for him by Tom Anderson Guitarworks during the tour.
With over 200 concerts performed last year alone, David Crowder Band released its second album, Illuminate, following the successful and critically acclaimed first album, Can you Hear Us? while missing only a handful of Sundays at University Baptist Church (a church David Crowder helped found and where the band leads worship.)
