Defense Marriage Coalition Issues Injunction Against Oregon

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The Oregon-based Defense of Marriage Coalition filed an injunction against the Mulnomah County for issuing hundreds of “marriage” licenses to homosexual couples, Friday, March 5. Pastor Tim Nashif, who spoke on behalf of the coalition at a news conference, said the county violated Oregon’s open-meeting laws, which prohibit any form of closed-door deliberations. The Mulnomah County clerk issued 786 “marriage” licenses since Wednesday without prior public consent.
