Simply based on the stats of the former Sacramento Kings star and NBA All-Star MVP Anthony Davis, the Jrue Holiday team is anticipated to rise to challenge the Golden State Warriors as the top seed. Not only that, it looks like the Norris Cole squad finally has the answer to the super team of Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Klay Thompson.

While Anthony Davis showed off his skills in the NBA All-Star 2017 game, the New Orleans Pelicans front office also got busy to ensure that the MVP won't be going anywhere. During the break, reports came out that the Jrue Holiday squad succeeded in signing a DeMarcus Cousins trade in exchange for Buddy Hield, Tyreke Evans, Langston Galloway.

The Sacramento Kings also received the first- and second-round draft picks for the explosive center. As for the New Orleans Pelicans, they not got Boogie byt also Omri Casspi to join Anthony Davis in the move.

The DeMarcus Cousins trade was revealed by Adrian Wojnarowski of The Vertical. In his report, he hinted that the blockbuster NBA trade might have come as a surprise to the former Sacramento Kings big man as the team kept "promising DeMarcus Cousins privately and publicly that he wouldn't be moved prior to Thursday's NBA trade deadline."

After the news of the shocking DeMarcus Cousins trade hit the press, another potential blockbuster deal could be in the works. Rumors are rife that the New Orleans Pelicans are targeting a John Wall contract to complete their very own super team. "I've got some individual accolades, that's great, [but] I want to be [on a] team that wins 50 games," shared John Wall when asked of his improvement and future plans. He further reiterated his aim of winning an NBA championship.
