Dr. Tony Evans to Host Men and Women’s Conferences in July

Dr. Tony Evans will host a conference for men entitled “No More Excuses!” on Saturday, and will later host “Desperate for Jesus,” for women on July 27.

The well-known Dallas pastor will team up with former Baltimore Ravens linebacker Ray Lewis, Jr. and musician Kirk Franklin for the men’s session. Evans and his wife, Lois, will also speak alongside Christian author Priscilla Shirer and singer Crystal Lewis two weeks later for the women’s conference.

The first event seeks to empower men to lead their lives and families in a God-exalting way. Dr. Evans wrote a related book “Kingdom Man: Every Man’s Destiny, Every Woman’s Dream” last year. “Kingdom men everywhere are rising out of the ashes with God's glory and power to take back their lives, families and communities and place them under the lordship of Jesus Christ. They are oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor,” says the conference’s website.

Dr. Evans also recently wrote “Kingdom Woman: Embracing Your Purpose, Power, and Possibilities” with his daughter, Chrystal Evans Hurst. The book will be released this month, and aims to strengthen women to follow after God’s design for their lives. In a recent tweet, Evans said, “A Kingdom Woman sets her eyes on Jesus. He strengthens her to be all she was created to be.”

The conferences cost $20 to attend, which includes a boxed lunch from Chick-fil-A. The events are currently open for registration: Men’s Conference / Women’s Conference
