Dragon Age Inquisition DLC Release Date, Patch Update for PS4, XBox One, PC

A Dragon Age Inquisition developer announced that more content will be added to the game's existing storyline in an upcoming DLC. Currently, the title is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC. Meanwhile, BioWare announced plans for the next Patch 8 update.

Hero of Feredeln Will Not Be Included in Next Major DLC

Recently, BioWare creative director Mike Laidlaw tweeted that the Hero of Feredeln will not be appearing in the next campaign update. The currently unnamed DLC will be the next project following the previous Jaws of Hakkon single-player expansion.

"The past three days have been filled with that weird intensity that makes game dev kind of addictive. It's a rush when things come together," Laidlaw explained in the same Twitter conversation. "We're not quite done with story content for DAI just yet."

Beside Jaws of Hakkon, other DLC content include multiplayer updates such as The Dark Emporium and Dragonslayer. Critics and gamers alike have generally given warm reviews for the new content.

Sign Ups for PC Patch 8 Beta Begins

BioWare is now accepting beta testers for the next Patch 8 on PC. The videogame developer has not given additional information this update. Recent developments come just one month after Patch 7. According to the Inquistr, the public beta testing will help BioWare identify and solves issues prior to final release.

Patch 8 will likely be available across other platforms such as PS4 and Xbox One. Interested parties can register via BioWare's Twitter account.

Cross-Buy Support for Jaws of Hakkon

Late last month, Dragon Age publisher Electronic Arts (EA) announced cross-buy support for DLC content in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

This feature was first introduced in the Jaws of Hakkon DLC, which was initially available on Xbox One and PC only. The PS4, PS3, and Xbox 360 version was not available until almost the end of May.

Players who bought either the Xbox One or PC editions could not access Jaw of Hakkon on other platforms. With the new cross-buy option, gamers can now play the DLC across other consoles - hence, saving money.

It is not clear whether EA will offer this service when the next DLC is available in the not-so-distant future.
