Sadie Robertson, the beautiful teenage sweetheart of Duck Dynasty turned 18 on June 11 and her proud mother Korie, posted a very sweet message for her darling daughter.

On her Instagram page @bosshogswife, Korie posted a collage of Sadie's old pictures. She captioned the photo, "Today is a special day...This funny, smart, compassionate, strong, kind, shining light of a girl is 18!! I'm trying to cope. I adore being her mom, forever and always! 17 was a great year, 18 is going to be even better for you @legitsadierob Continue to walk with God and He will direct your path!"

Sadie's best friend Mary Kate McEacharn also sent her birthday greetings to Sadie. McEacharn, who will wed Sadie's older brother John Luke this month, shared a photo of her with Sadie while they were on a beach on her Instagram account @missmarymcmcmc.

The caption of the photo reads, "Wishing a happy happy birthday to this sweet friend of mine! Such an absolute joy to be around...always laughing and joking, and full of kindness and generosity. Thanks for the constant encouragement and for keeping me young! I can't think of anything more special than having a best friend become your sister.... I love you Sadie Mae."

Christian Today reported that the Robertson celebrated Sadie's 18th birthday at the Camp Ch-Yo-Ca in Northern Louisiana with family and friends and had a great time involving themselves in sports activities and Bible study.

Sadie's aunt Missy described the camp, "Camp Ch-Yo-Ca is the place for young people to grow closer to God and each other and exists because of the generosity of others."

Members of the Robertson family have spent several summers in the camp doing volunteer services to help the camp bring people closer to God.

On June 4, Saddie announced on Periscope that she and her friends are heading to Nashville later this summer in August for the first "Live Original" college tour show.

This actually makes a lot of sense, considering that her Instagram account (@legitsadierob), she posted a photo of her with her family and friends with the caption, "We have some big news for y'all follow me on periscope @legitsadierob for an announcement from me at 3:00 pm CST tomorrow :-)"

Following her announcement on Periscope, Sadie shared further details on her website, LiveOriginal.com.

"Live Original LIVE is an "inspirational gathering" that will be held on August 29th at Lipscomb University's Allen Arena @7PM. The stop will "highlight those who are following Robertson's call to 'live original' in all areas of their lives, such as in their schools, communities and relationships."

The gathering will also feature other speakers including Sadie's brother John Luke Robertson and his fiancée or soon-to-be wife Mary Kate McEachern, Reed Robertson, Cole Robertson, The Bachelor couple Sean and Catherine Lowe and the band King & Country.

"This is the most excited I have ever been about any event, and that's saying a lot!" the daughter of Korie and Willie Robertson wrote. "We have been praying that this message will touch a lot of lives."
