Fallout 4

Fallout 4 will have mod support after the release date, while the Elder Scrolls 6 remains yet to be announced by Bethesda Softworks. The next installment in the Fallout franchise is now available for preorder at major U.S. retailers and online merchants. Upon launch, Fallout 4 will be available on Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

Rail Rifle Mod On the Horizon

At E3 2015, Fans were overjoyed when Bethesda Softworks confirmed support mods created in PC and ported to Fallout 4's Xbox One edition.

Since then, the modding community has been busy creating mods that will be available after the Fallout 4 release date in November 2015. Amongst these includes a rail rifle.

"Some of you might recognize me as the creator of such mods for Fallout 3 like the ACR and my contributions to Project Nevada for New Vegas. I stepped away from modding for a while but Fallout 4 pulled me back in. Now I'm working on some models that I plan to import into the game as soon as the tools become available," Zealotlee announced on Bethesda's online forum.

Based on a photo provided by Zealotlee, the weapon has at least three difference configurations. The first is the standard long variant, while the second is the long variant with muzzle brake. Curiously, there is also a shortened version that looks concealable. It is not clear how these unique configurations will affect the gameplay.

The modder said that he is putting his focus on the model and texture for the time being. Sadly, mod support for Fallout 4 will not be available until a few months later. So, it will be awhile before Fallout 4 fans can experience this mod amongst others.

Elder Scrolls VI A No-Show at E3 2015

The rumored Elder Scrolls VI videogame failed to show at this year's E3 conference. This was not a surprise considering that Bethesda Softworks has a longstanding policy of focusing on developing and promoting one game at a time. This year, the game company is working on Fallout 4. Once Fallout 4 is released though, it is tough to say what Bethesda Softworks will work on next.

Fans are divided between games such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Elder Scrolls VI. Unfortunately, players can only expect more secrecy from Bethesda until roughly around E3 2016. In short, the best advice is to wait patiently while enjoying Fallout 4.

Why Fallout 4 is Not Coming to Xbox 360, PS3

Bethesda's Community Lead, Matt Grandstaff, offered a explanation regarding why Fallout 4 will not be available on Xbox 360 and PS3.

"It [Fallout 4] is not coming to 360 and PS3, the stuff we're doing will never work there," Grandstaff wrote on the Neogaf forum in early June.

Most AAA titles are already optimized for 4K Gaming. When this standard is brought to open-world games such as Fallout, players will need to use higher-performing consoles. In short, older hardware such as the Xbox One and PS3 are simply not up to the task.
