National Catholic Family Gathering held from April 16-18, 2004 in Sydney. It was hailed as "the most wonderful, uplifting, inspirational celebration of family life"

More than 1300 people participated in the Living the Dream conference.

Chairman of the Bishops’ Committee for Family and for Life, Bishop Eugene Hurley, said the event was "absolutely magnificent".

"Particularly gratifying was the enthusiasm and participation of the young people here. It’s just been so uplifting."

Christopher West and Wade Horn generated huge interest when they gave testimonies from families and individuals who are living out the various challenged of family life.

The Family Gathering attracted lots of families as far away as Perth and Port Pirie to Sydney.
