It has been a decade's worth of development, but Square Enix finally was able to formally announced Final Fantasy 15 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One last night at a special event.  Originally, this game was announced in 2006, at the big video games convention of E3.  It was then re-branded as Final Fantasy 15 in E3 2013, and fans of this particular game are devoted to its well-developed characters and mythology.  Finally, here is the news about Final Fantasy 15's Release Date as well as its Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Collector's Edition. 

As was previously said, fans have been wanting information on this game for a long time now, and Square Enix gave it to them last night the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles with "Uncovered: Final Fantasy XV".  The release date for the long-awaited Final Fantasy 15 was finally revealed. 

In addition to the release date, which we'll get to at the end if you want to just skip to it, Square Enix is going to have another form of promotion, according to Ars Technica.  This would be the Platinum Demo that is available to download on the PS4 and Xbox One right now.  This is a free five-part anime series called Brotherhood Final Fantasy 15 on YouTube.  Platinum Demo is a standalone experience that its own story starring the Final Fantasy protagonist Noctis. 

You can watch the first episode of that series here, and there is also plans for a CG movie known as Kingsglaive: Final Fantasy 15.  The film has a cast that includes Sean Bean as King Regis, Lena Headley as Princess Luna, and Aaron Paul as Kingsglaive soldier Nyx.  Oh, there will be a pinball themed game available for Android and iOS as well called Justice Monsters Five. 

So when is the big day?  It will be September 30, 2016, and the pre-order will be the "Day One Edition" that includes an exclusive "Masamune" downloadable sword to use within the game.  As expected, there will be other collector's editions of the game.  The first is a Deluxe Edition that includes steel book packaging along with a bonus outfit, weapon, and skin for Noctis' car, and costs about $89.99. 

Then there is the Ultimate Collector's Edition which will sell for $269.99 that includes a hardcover art book, soundtrack, exclusive Play Arts Kai Noctis figure, four in-game item packs, as well as the same bonus content of the Deluxe Edition.  By the way, the Ultimate Collector's Edition will be exclusive to Square Enix's Online Store (limited to 30,000 units worldwide), and it will include a mysterious sixth episode of the Brotherhood Final Fantasy 15 anime that will not be released online.
