There are few gaming franchises that are as big as Final Fantasy and Kingdom Hearts, and Square Enix is responsible for both of them.  It should be no surprise that the company wants to release one game this year, and the other game next year.  This is what is currently known about the Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts 3 Release Dates.

Final Fantasy XV

There is good news about the development of Final Fantasy XV.   Gematsu reports that the next Final Fantasy XV Active Time Report will be broadcasted on Saturday, January 30 at 8 PM PT and 11 PM ET on YouTube.  Those who tune in online will see an English-subtitled program that will feature director Hajime Tabata and global marketing director Akio Ofuji, who will be talking about the war-mongering Niflheim Empire and show off the latest battle footage and magic scenes.

There will also be some updates to the March 2016 event.  For those that aren't aware of this, Square Enix knows how big Final Fantasy XV is going to be, and so it has an event where it will finally give the long-awaited Final Fantasy XV release date.  The issue is that we don't know when the release date will be for this release date.  It is predicted that Final Fantasy XV should show up this year, making it a holiday release game, possibly showed off at E3 2016 in the summertime.  E3 stands for Electronics Entertainment Expo, and it is a big video game convention that occurs every year in Los Angeles.

In the meantime, there have been a lot of screenshots revealed of the game that includes the protagonist Noctis casting a Fire spell, battling Magitek Armor, doing aerial strikes against the enemies, as well as utilizing stealth to get into some enemy territory.

Kingdom Hearts 3

As for Kingdom Hearts 3, this long-awaited video game has some bad news associated with it, as Parent Herald and other reports state that the game will not be available until 2017.  In fact, game director Tetsuya Nomura confirmed the news during a recent interview with Games TM.

In all honesty, this shouldn't be too much of a surprise, as there has been more Final Fantasy XV information leaked to the press than what has been briefly seen in the final official sequel for Kingdom Hearts.  The Kingdom Hearts series has seen some spinoffs, but Nomura has stated that the combat for Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to be better than its official predecessor.

One of the things that fans have been wanting to know is what Disney characters will be involved in this version of Kingdom Hearts.  Disney characters and worlds have often made their appearances, and it is possible that Winnie the Pooh and Tigger too could show up.  Voice actor Jim Cummings has certainly hinted at this.  It has been said that Baymax and Hiro and the rest of the gang from Big Hero 6 could make an appearance, as well as the world from the Disney animated movie.
