The first ever exhibition on China’s Bible ministry will be held in the U.S., presenting the history of the spreading of the Word of God among Chinese around the world.

Sponsored by the National Committee of Three-Self Patriotic Movement of Protestant Churches in China and the China Christian Council (CCC/TSPM), the theme of the up-coming exhibition is "A Lamp to my Feet, a Light to my Path- China Bible Ministry Exhibition." It will be held in three cities- Los Angeles, Atlanta and New York- in both the west coast and the east coast, between April and June this year.

"The main purpose of the Bible Exhibition is to bear witness to how Chinese Christians love God’s Word, how the good news in the Bible has been spread in China, and how Christ's body has been built up under the consistent guidance of the Word," stated a statement from the official Protestant Churches in China.

The content of the Bible Ministry Exhibition will surround Bible ministry of Chinese churches in different stages, Chinese Christians’ devotion to the Bible and their faith in the God’s words. It also witnesses the spreading of the Gospel and the establishing of the churches in China, the statement added.

The 6 galleries in the Exhibition are namely, "The Early History Of The Bible In China", "Bible Publication after 1980", "Bible Distribution after 1980", "Bible Ministries For National Minority Churches", "The Bible and Church Life", and "Christian Art Works".

The idea of holding such exhibition in the U.S. dated back to the visit made by a CCC/TSPM delegates to the U.S. in February 2005. Rev. Cao Shengjie, the President of China Christian Council, introduced China’s Bible ministry to a group of US prominent and influential evangelical leaders. The former US President Jimmy Carter, the famous evangelical preacher Billy Graham and Rick Warren were presented on the meeting.

After a lot of preparation, it is decided to carry out an exhibition in the U.S. CCC/TSPM has also invited many influential persons in the three exhibition cities to be the members of the local Working Committees and give a help to this exhibition., according to the official Protestant Churches in China.

The same Bible Exhibition was first held in Hong Kong August 2004, which has drawn thousands of people, both Christians and non-Christians.

Venues and dates of the Exhibitions in the three US cities are set as follows:

- The Crystal Cathedral in LA, Exhibition from Apr. 27- May 4.

- Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church in Atlanta, Exhibition from May 19-24.

- The Cathedral Church of St. John the Divine in New York, Exhibition from June 4-12.
