"Fixer Upper" star Joanna Gaines is the victim of fake news - and she's not happy about it.

In a recent Instagram post, Gaines dismissed a widespread report that she's leaving her hit HGTV show behind her for a new beauty-based business.

"I wanted to take a minute to let y'all know that it's simply not true. This is a SCAM!" she said. "We have nothing to do with it and have been trying to stop it for some time. You can help!"

Gaines asked her fans to "please spread the word by sharing, re-posting, and/or re-tweeting this post" and urged them to send any information regarding the fake news websites or sponsored ads to reporting@magnoliamarket.com.

This is not the first time the reality star has weighed in on the skincare line rumor, which started last Spring. Earlier this year, she begged her fans not to believe everything they read - especially as fake news continues to swirl around the "Fixer Upper" star and her husband, Chip.

"So many things are happening right now and it feels like we are moving at the speed of light," she said. "At times, it's even hard to keep our own parents in the loop. At this point in our career we can honestly say, we've heard it all - from reports of us moving our family to Vegas to us having more or less children than we actually have."

Joanna said that at the end of the day, she and Chip have "learned it's impossible to control all the information that's out there."

The HGTV star then went on to address a series of rumors and reassure fans she has no plans to leave "Fixer Upper".

"And just in case you were wondering, YES! We are currently filming Season 5 of the show. No! I am not getting into the business of facial creams. And No! We are not expecting baby #5," she said, adding, "And no worries, believing some of these stories happens to the best of us."
