Forza Horizon 3 will release this September

Developers Turn 10 and Playground Games unveiled a bunch of new cars that will appear on Forza Horizon 3, which is due to launch later this year on Xbox One and PC. The much-awaited racing game is expected to offer more than 350 cars. Now, here's what is currently known about Forza Horizon 3 release date, new cars and new locations.

The upcoming new vehicles are set to showcase the booming car culture in Australia. Some of the new cars are from Holden and Ford.

The three Holden models offer a glimpse of different eras in Australian car manufacturing. Expect to see the 1951 Holden 50-2106 FX Ute, which looks like a classic pickup truck. Also, players can use the 1974 Holden Sandman HQ Panel Van, which was featured in the original 1979 version of Mad Max. Last but not the least the 2016 Holden Special Vehicles GTS Maloo is set to appear in the game.

Furthermore, Australian Ford cars such as the 1973 XB Falcon GT, 2014 FPV Limited Edition Pursuit Ute and 2015 Falcon XR8 are confirmed for the game.

Aside from the cars mentioned above, a host of other vehicles was revealed this week as well. Players can tour around Australia inside 2011 BMW X5 M, the 2014 Land Rover Supercharged and the 1978 Mustang II King Cobra.

After exploring France, Italy and Colorado, next entry in Forza Horizon series is set to feature the scenic views of Australia. In an interview with The Sydney Morning Herald, creative director Ralph Fulton said he wants players to feel that they are actually driving on the roads of Australia. He also added the world in Forza Horizon 3 is two times bigger than the Forza Horizon 2, which was not a small game by any stretch.

Some of the racing locations that will be featured in Forza Horizon 3 are the Outback, the wine country of Yarra Valley, the city of Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast, the Great Ocean Road and the The Twelve Apostles in Victoria.

Interestingly, Horizon games allow players to break free of the racetrack by fusing the Motorsport's physics engine and the free-roaming environment of titles like Grand Theft Auto and Need for Speed, as per report from Motor Mag.

Forza Horizon 3 will be released on Xbox One and Windows PC on September 27, 2016. Visit this link to see the complete list of new 34 cars.
