France vs. Ecuador World Cup 2014 match will kick off at 1 p.m. PT on Wednesday, June 25. France will play against Ecuador at the Estádio Maracana in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. As it stands now, France is the first place in Group E, and Ecuador will have to fight to ensure that they can join France in the last 16.

A week ago, France defeated Switzerland after their opening match win against the Honduras. As a result of their dominant performances, the French are so far ahead of the Group that even if it lost around five goals, it would still emerge from Group E as first place. Despite its standing, France is not going to let up simply because it wants to continue the momentum until it crashes the last 16 with gusto.

France full-back Mathieu Debuchy says his teammates will not let up and will aim to finish strong in order to maintain momentum until they reach the last 16 of the 2014 FIFA World Cup Brazi.

"We need to avoid taking our foot off the gas even if there is not a huge amount at stake," Debuchy said. "We want to win this match and maintain our positive dynamic in order to prepare well for what is to come."

For the game against Ecuador, mid-fielder Karim Benzema, Paul Pogba, Real Madrid's Raphael Varane are expected to make the offenses.

Ecuador is counting on Enner Valencia, who has had a spectacular performance in the team's first two matches. As his team is in great need of goals, Valencia is most likely the player to make the penetrations against the French opponents. Wingers Antonio Valencia and Jefferson Montero will support Felipe Caicedo and Valencia, who has three goals so far, in their offenses.

While banking on its talents, Ecuador knows full well that an upset win or even just to score would be difficult to achieve.

"They're going to be very difficult opponents, we know France's strengths but we're going to have to take care if we want to hurt them," said Valencia, 24, the FIFA.com reported. Valencia led his team in a 2-1 win over Honduras last Friday.

Ecuador is expected to not go down without a hard fight as it has done, and it is expecting to join France in the last 16 round.
