With Disney announcing Frozen 2 earlier this year, many questions concerning the sequel have been raised. Namely, what will be the direction of the film? Theories have begun circulating on the web as we speak. Here is a rundown of some of the latest speculation so far.

'Let It Go' May Be an Elsa and Anna Duet

The premise in the first film revolved around the relationship of sisters Elsa and Anna. Surprisingly, they did not share a whole lot of screen time with each other.

According to the Telegraph UK, this might change with Elsa and Anna singing the iconic song "Let it go" together. The publication pointed out that Elsa spent the majority of the first film running away from Anna and the Arendelle. Now that the sisters are happily reunited, it is not improbable that they will share a song together. There is a greater chance that the duo will sing "Let it Go," due to its popularity.

Naturally, this prediction is based on speculation, and should be taken with a healthy grain of salt.

Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck Will Direct Sequel

Disney also confirmed that the original two directors, Jennifer Lee and Chris Buck, will be helming Frozen 2. They will be working with producer Peter Del Vecho. At this time, no release date has been offered.

Most of the Original Cast Will be Back

Though the cast has not been confirmed, it is certain that most if not all of the major cast will reprise their earlier roles.

Kristen Bell, the voice behind Anna, told the Huffington Post in March that she is more than willing to return to the sequel. Even so, she stopped short of offering a straight-out confirmation.

Colleague Idina Menzel, who played Elsa, expressed excitement concerning Frozen 2 back in May. She did not offer much detail apart from mentioning to the Hollywood Reporter that the film is in the process of being written.

Josh Gad, who voices Olaf, may return as well. Earlier, the actor stood alongside top Disney executives to announce the production of Frozen 2. His presence suggests that Gad will return as the film's lovable snowman.

The first Frozen garnered $1.3 billion at the box office, and has since then generated record breaking sales on DVD and Blu-ray. Spinoffs have included a Broadway show as well as the animated short Frozen Fever.
