Charitable acts of kindness in the name of the Lord shine among the darkness of a poverty-stricken world. Christian artist Ginny Owens recognizes and acts upon the needs of the disadvantaged, and supports Habitat’s house building projects. She will participate in some Habitat media and house builds activities even as she is currently on her “Beautiful” tour. Her media interviews in Nashville will be another opportunity to raise awareness for Habitat.
“Habitat for Humanity is thrilled to partner with Ginny Owens,” said Habitat for Humanity International Special Event Director Karen Peterson Lienau. “She is showing how everyone can put their faith into action and help eliminate poverty housing from the face of the earth.”
“More than 12 million US children, one in six, live in poverty. Habitat seeks to provide hope for those families. If I can encourage people to know that ANYONE can help, I will. I’m ready to pick up a hammer and be a part. I hope it will inspire others to do the same,” Owens explains with passion and hope for the mission.
There are plans for a larger multi-city and multi-artist event to take place in the upcoming fall where many artists, both local and national, can come together to support and help the needy families out there.
