A teaser trailer for the much-awaited sequel to 2014's "God's Not Dead" film has just been shared by the movie's official Facebook page. The clip has been posted in time for the debut of "Woodlawn," another faith-based film which is slated to arrive in cinemas on October 16.

God's Not Dead is American Christian drama film released on March 2014. It is directed by Harold Cronk, and stars Kevin Sorbo, Shane Harper, David A. R. White and Dean Cain. The film, produced by Pure Flix Entertainment, had been a success as it finished fifth in the US box office. According to Pure Flix CEO Michael Scott, the movie earned $9.2 million in its first week in theater and another $8.5 to $9 million the week after, despite its relatively small budget of $2 million.

The film follows the story of a college freshman named Josh Wheaton (played by Shane Harper) who enrolls in a philosophy class led by an infamous dictatorial Professor Radisson (Kevin Sorbo). The philosophy professor declares that God is a pre-scientific fiction.

He announced that in order for his students to pass the class, they have to sign the declaration saying that "God is dead." Wheaton is the only student who refused to sign amd had gone all the way to defend his faith. With his grades, his reputation, and future at stake, he engages in a series of debates with the professor.

Another movie from the creators of God's Not Dead is about to hit theaters. Woodlawn is a Christian sports drama film directed by Andrew and Jon Erwin. It is reportedly based on a true story and features actors Caleb Castille, Sean Astin, Nic Bishop, Sherri Shepherd and Jon Voight.

The story revolves around Tony Nathan (Caleb Castille), a gifted high school football player, and other African-American students in 1973 when a government mandate desegregated Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama. The school's football coach Tandy Gerelds (Nic Bishop) struggles to ease racial tensions between his players as cross burnings and riots start to erupt in their city.

Popular NFL quarterback Tim Tebow, who is currently a free agent, apparently saw the movie's trailer and posted a tweet on Friday that reads, "Just got a sneak peek of #WoodlawnMovie Its amazing to see how the courage by a few can inspire many!" He also shared a link to the film's trailer. In addition to Teboew's football skills, he also received considerable press attention lately due to his public displays of Christianity, both on and off the field.
