Google's Nexus 9 tablet

Google's Nexus 9 tablet is the first device to come loaded with the highly anticipated Android 5.0 Lollipop operating system upgrade, so fans want to make sure they know where to get their hands on Google's flagship product. That's why we're here to help.

The Nexus 9 is an 8.9-inch tablet that boasts 281 pixels per inch on its QXGA display. It runs the 2.3 GHz dual-core 64-bit Denver processor with 2 GB RAM under the hood. You can purchase the device with either 16 or 32 GB of flash storage for $399 and $479 respectively (Wi-Fi versions). A $599 4G LTE version will be available for the 32 GB model in the near future.

Amazon

The online retail megastore is offering free shipping for both versions of the Nexus 9. Unfortunately, at the time of this writing, both versions are currently out of stock, but in the meantime, you can peruse the site for accessories, read customer reviews, or even check out some comparable alternatives.

Google Play Store

The usual $399/$479 cost is in effect at the official Google Play Store, and the good news is that it's in stock and is said to leave the warehouse in one-to-two business days.

Best Buy

While Best Buy's prices are in line with retail, both the 16 and 32 GB versions are in stock and offered with free shipping. Best Buy even has a price match guarantee if you find it cheaper somewhere else and still want to take advantage of the free shipping. Interestingly enough, Best Buy seems to be the only retailer offering the 4G LTE version as a pre-order, but a ship date is not listed.

HTC

The manufacturer pulled a fast one on us all yesterday by offering the 16 GB version for only $199. The bad news is that the half-off deal only lasted 12 hours and has now expired. Still, it might be wise to keep an eye on HTC for more deals.

Gamestop

While the popular video game retailer doesn't have the Nexus 9 for sale yet, it is listed on the official Nexus 9 landing page right next to the others. This might be a good option if you have some old console games lying around unplayed and you don't mind trading them in toward the purchase price of the new tablet.
