GRAMMY Award Nominees are announced

The nominees for the 46th Annual GRAMMY Awards were announced on December 4 by noteworthy line-up of Stacie Orrico, Dido, Jason Mraz and Sarah McLachlan to name a few. The 46th GRAMMY Awards will be held on Sunday, February 8, 2004, at Staples Center in Los Angeles, and will be broadcasted 8-11:30 PM EST.

The GRAMMYs is an event where artists and technical professionals are nominated to receive the award based on artistic and technical merit. Other honors are awarded to nominees as well including the Lifetime Achievement Award, the Trustees Award, the GRAMMY Hall of Fame Award, the Technical GRAMMY Award, and the GRAMMY Legend Award. Celebrating the recording arts in over 104 extensive categories, the GRAMMYs has gained remarkable weight in the music industry and among TV viewers.

"It all adds up to one exciting event: The music industry's biggest showcase will be broadcast on television's most watched night,” said CBS President/CEO Leslie Moonves.
