Grand Theft Auto 6: Latest News And Updates, Possible PS4, Xbox Scorpio And PC Release Date In 2020

GTA 6
There is still no concrete release date for GTA 6 from Rockstar Games as at press time, and this means you should continue to give GTA 5 as much loving as possible while you wait.

Good games -- and I mean really, really good ones, can be rather difficult to come by, which is why it is always an exciting event whenever there are details of a game franchise coming up with a new title, never mind just how long one would have to wait for it to be released and polished. Grand Theft Auto is a good example, and while I am quite sure many of us are still rocking to Grand Theft Auto 5 (or GTA 5 for short), here are the latest nitty gritty on GTA 6.

I would suppose that GTA 6 will be a title that is as hotly anticipated as, say, Nintendo’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It goes without saying that GTA 6 will be a follow up to the huge commercial success that is GTA 5, where both fans as well as those who are new to the world of video games have embraced the title with open arms. Developer Rockstar knows that they have a potential gold mine on their hands with the release of GTA 6 if it is done correctly, which is why it makes perfect sense to take their time to actually work on the title from all different kinds of aspects.

So far, most of the GTA titles in the franchise have been AAA titles, and it seems that the next triple A title that is being lined up would be "Red Dead Redemption 2". Bearing that in mind, it would seem that Grand Theft Auto 6 will not be released so soon, where it should be able to see the light of day some time in 2019 or even 2020. Now that is certainly a long, long time away, where we will most probably have gone through at least another Avengers movie, a few more superhero movies from the DC and Marvel universe, not to mention having a couple or so more Star Wars related stories show up on the silver screen between then and now. The more interesting thing is, will GTA 6 be released for next generation consoles, or will the current vanguard that comprises of the Sony PS4 (and the PS4 Pro too, of course), the Xbox One and the Xbox One S carry the torch then. As for the PC platform, gamers need not worry since they can always work out an upgrade to accommodate what GTA 6 needs by then.

Rockstar President Leslie Benzies did share, "We've got about 45 years' worth of ideas we want to do. GTA Online is the focus right now. There ain't no rest between finishing 5 and then Online. Plus we have some things and stuff. I don't know how to describe it exactly what we'd like to do, and we'll soon pick the right ones." Yes, I am pretty sure that the gamers themselves would like to see the right ideas picked, and it would be interesting to see what kind of scenarios will Rockstar think of for GTA 6.
