Great Cross to be dedicated in Canberra

According to Australian Christian Network, the Great Cross will be dedicated in Canberra on November 22. This cross is 25 meters high and holds a magnitude of stature. It will be moved to national Christian centre, the Australian Centre for Christianity and Culture in Canberra.

The cross is of steel, painted so that it catches the light exquisitely. It is double- two piece of steel rising into the sky with two cross bars. And it looks toward the Parliament House. It is a symbol of the Christian initiation of baptism and new life.

"It will be a national occasion and we see the centre as something for the whole nation” said Profess Haire, who is the national president of the Uniting Church and National Council of Churches in Australia.

It was reported that church leaders from around the country will take part in the dedication ceremony.
