Renowned guitarist Phil Keaggy has signed on as the latest client of Blanton, Harrell, Cooke & Corzine.
Keaggy, a world-class master of fingerstyle guitar and a giant in the Christian music community, joins a stellar roster of artists served by the Nashville-based management company, including novelist Frank Peretti, up-and-coming vocalist Kara Williamson, and musical headliners Fernando Ortega, Joy Williams, Michael W. Smith, and Amy Grant.
A six-time Dove Award winner for Best Instrumental Album (Wind & Wheat, 1988; Beyond Nature, '92; Acoustic Sketches, '99; Majesty & Wonder, 2000; Lights of Madrid, 2001; Hymnsongs, 2003), Keaggy was voted Favorite Guitar Player five years in a row by readers of CCM and twice took second place in Guitar Player's annual reader poll in the Best Acoustic Fingerstyle Guitarist category.
"Phil is such a fabulous talent, with integrity and tenure in the industry," says Michael Blanton, a co-founder and partner at BHCC. "He compliments our roster in a beautiful way. I am privileged to partner with him in exploring his gifts and expanding his career."
"I am a longtime admirer of Phil's artistry and am thrilled to be working with him," adds Mitch White, vice president of artistic development. "I am confident that the team of BHCC industry veterans can take Phil to places he has never been. I look forward to remarkable growth and success for Phil."
Keaggy shares this enthusiasm: "I'm very excited about the new management and relationship with BHCC," he notes. "Mitch White is my new personal manager and I look forward to a productive and creative adventure with the BHCC team. Thanks to all at BHCC for taking me on as an artist."
