The Green Bay Packers knew they were in trouble and that only a miracle could possibly save them from falling lower in the league rankings. However, the latest face off against the Detroit Lions made believers out of the Aaron Rodgers squad. In what could only be described as an awe-inspiring turn of events, the Green Bay Packers saw themselves beating the Detroit Lions courtesy of a 61-yard touchdown pass of their prized quarterback.

"I've never had a completed Hail Mary before," admitted Rodgers in an interview following their victory, according to ESPN. He added, "It's the greatest feeling. We're blessed to be able to play this game, and it reminds you at times how special this game is. You live for days like this, to be able to have something miraculous happen."

The 27-23 victory of the Green Bay Packers over the Detroit Lions saw the Eddie Lacy squad score two touchdowns in the final three minutes of the football game. Prior to the second touchdown, the Detroit Lions were ahead by two points - an advantage that could have sealed their win. However, things turned sour for the then leading team when Devin Taylor's thumb got caught in the face mask of Rodgers with roughly six seconds left in the game. This caused the referees to grant the Green Bay Packers an untimed down from the NFL team's 39-yard line.

"I knew I was going to have to buy some time to allow them to get into the end zone," shared Rodgers, referring to his game-winning feat. He then went on to say, "I knew once I got outside the right that I was going to be able to set up and throw."

Rodgers then scrambled to allow the receivers of the Green Bay Packers to run to the end zone. When the quarterback felt that his teammates were ready, he positioned himself in the Green Bay 36 and threw the ball to the end zone.

"I felt good that it was going to be in the end zone," shared Rodgers via CBS Sports. He added, "I got a nice run up and crow-hopped into it. I didn't see Richard until the last second, but when he caught it, I blacked out, I didn't know what happened. I know it was the greatest feeling I've had on the field in a long time."

The Detroit Lions were ready for Rodgers' Hail Mary attempt. It was, however, Richard Rodgers who had been the most alert among all the players scrambling in the field. The Green Bay Packers tight end fought his way out of the slew of Detroit Lions stars blocking his way and leapt to catch his quarterback's pass.

"Unfortunately, this counts as one win," shared Mike McCarthy. The Green Bay Packers head coach added, "It feels like more."
