Halo 5: Guardians New Trailer With Free DLC Expansion and Updates

Halo 5: Guardians
 343 Industries

When Halo first broke through the ranks of the video game world, it certainly did catch a fair number of people by surprise. After all, the Microsoft Xbox was a console that attempted to disrupt the cemented hierarchy at that point in time, where Nintendo, Sony and Sega ruled the roost. Halo certainly did its trick in getting people on board Microsoft’s console over in the US, and it is testament to the game’s longevity and appeal that it has made is way to the fifth main iteration, in the form of Halo 5: Guardians. The wait for Halo 5: Guardians has been a long and hard one to say the least, but isn’t it always the fact that good things come to those who wait?

Halo 5: Guardians developer 343 Industries might have been looking into the possibility of a perfect launch, which could be why they took their time with the game. After all, it is always better to release a game that does not have any glitches, or just minor bugs that a small patch can fix, as opposed to rushing out a particular title to the market just to keep everyone happy, only to find that there are major glitches which turn people off from the game itself.

We have also learned that there is yet another major update known as the "Monitor's Bounty" which will be making its way to Halo 5: Guardians -- and gamers are able to enjoy the latest expansion without having to fork out a single cent, now how about that? There might not be any free lunch in the world, but we will take our chances with free DLCs (Downloadable Content).

If you are a visual person who feel that you would be able to garner more information along the way simply by watching, then here is a piece of good news to further brighten up the start of your weekend. The launch trailer of the Halo 5: Guardians expansion, Monitor's Bounty, is shown in the YouTube video below.

Ever since Halo 5: Guardians rolled out at the end of October last year, 343 Industries have not skimped when it comes to additional content. In fact, the developer has introduced 10 major content updates dating to the game’s release, and all of these have been for free to the legion of gamers out there. This is certainly a slightly different route taken compared to other game developers who feel that you should be charged with each new DLC that is released.

In the trailer description for the Monitor's Bounty DLC, it has been described this way: "[It] is an epic salvo of experience-enhancing additions, from new weapons, armor, and skins, to brand new ways to build and play, all alongside the biggest Forge update ever seen in a Halo game."

You can be sure that in Monitor’s Bounty, you will gain access to additional weapons as well as vehicles to shoot with and get around in. Gamers have also been given the assurance that there will be new assassinations to indulge in, and with over 600 new objects to collect, you will have a very happy holiday season coming up to say the least.
