Located in San Jose, California, Harvest Seminary is overjoyed for its new-found building. Just recently, with more than one million dollars Harvest Seminary bought the facility from South Bay Chinese Gospel Church.

Brother Huang, Secretary of Harvest Seminary, said the plan to purchase a new location proceeded for over six months. Their current campus is an office space and it was inconvenient to hold large gatherings due to increasing attendants. “The Dean saw that the campus’ facility was becoming increasingly limited because more and more students are coming in, so he continuously prayed. Coincidentally, South Bay Chinese Gospel Church also wanted to move to a larger place, and God blessed us so that we were able to work it out – it was settled just like that!” Said Brother Huang.

The location used to be occupied by a church, which makes this place very suitable for seminary use: The Church’s main auditorium will be utilized for fellowship and worship while the secondary hall will be used as classroom. Brother Huang said the old classroom could hold about 30-40 students, yet the actual attendance exceeds 40 in number, making the seating extremely uncomfortable. But the new classroom in San Jose can sit about 50-60 students. Not only does it meet their needs, it can also accommodate for growth in the future.

Students and faculty of Harvest Seminary will first hold service and dedicate the new-found place to God once settled in the new campus on July 21st. Immediately following, on August 5th, Professor Zhang Ping (張平博士), a renown Hebrew language expert, will hold a lecture on the theme “From Mishnah, look at the Pharisees’ Faith, Prayer, Sabbath Day, Passover and More.”
