While Android Central considered the HTC 10 as the best Android phone of 2016, some were still not as impressed with the flagship phone. It did not do as well as other phones in the market despite reviews of a good battery life, impressive touchscreen, and world-class audio playback. Even six months later, the hardware for the HTC 10 has held up well.
Now many are waiting for the release of the HTC 11, which will reportedly be out by April 2017, and hoping that it will make a better dent in the cellphone market. Although tradition dictates that the new phone will be out by April, the HTC 10 was released in April of this year, so it might follow the newest pattern and release the HTC 11 12 months later than its predecessor.
There are several rumors as to the specs and design of the newest flagship phone for HTC. The device will reportedly have its usual 12-megapixel camera at the back, and there will be a selfie camera (8 - megapixel) at the front. There are reports that the HTC 11 will have 5.5-inch QHD. PC Advisor hopes that the new phone will do away with its predecessor's design of having speakers at the top and bottom of the phone. Also, fingers crossed that HTC will come up with its own waterproof phone.
For the specs, predictions are that the HTC 11 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 CPU and Adreno 540 GPU for the graphics. Storage might be at 256 G, while the RAM will be 8 G. Although the storage might most likely start at 32 GB, and go up to as high as 256 GB. As for battery life, reports say that instead of 3,000 mAh it will now be at 3,700 mAH, which means longer battery life which is good.
The most interesting rumor about the HTC 11 says that it might be named HTC Ocean and that a concept design of the phone will have no physical control and will rely on gestures, touch and voice.
